Writer: Alex has a masters degree in writing and communications from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN and has over 30+ years experience as a copywriter. She has written for the American Diabetes Association, Hazelden Foundation, Hazelden Publishing, PaperDirect/Deluxe Corp., and HealthPartners. Alex has also written and published white papers for the Institute for Clinical Systems Improvement (ICSI) and CLEARCorps (CCUSA).
Speaker: Alex has given speeches on a variety of business communication topics, such as how to write effective emails and writing product/services market pieces. She also speaks on how to break the connection between unresolved stress and illness; living and surviving with cancer and chronic illness; life challenges and motivation; and the meaning of trauma. Alex has spoken at the Well Within Becoming Well Within Conference, Well Within program events, MN Oncology Hope in Motion, Relay For Life, St. Catherine’s University, Hennepin County Medical Center Cancer Center, and to many smaller audiences. She is described as “Inspiring, Energetic, Humorous,” and a “gifted educator.”
Facilitator:Alex is a certified Renewing Life program facilitator. She has facilitated 30 programs at Well Within, a nonprofit wellness center located in Woodbury, MN, and Regions Hospital Cancer Center in St. Paul, MN. Renewing Life is a 9-week licensed program through Pathways Health Crisis Resource Center in Minneapolis, MN. The program “combines the best emotional support groups and educational programs offering a variety of healing and restorative techniques that enable participants to discover what assists them on their healing journey.
